Digital Music? Digital games, your time is now!

This is off on a bit of a tangant but you know, we interested in the whole of the digital world, so I thought you all might be interested in the state of other entertainment industries that are being digitalized. We all know films are still very much on the boarderline of being mainstream with companies like Netflix offering rentable streams of the latest flicks, but what about games? There are a lot of stores for downloadable games, with helpful services like users reporting or game charts which helps a lot when buying games digitally via the system.

There are many other systems available but the question has always remained the same as in the music industry, can a profit still be made by the creators? With games at least, it's seeming to actually work in their favour rather than against them, with the overheads for making games available digitally being much much smaller than making a boxed product hit the shelves, profit margins are way up. Will this change as the majority of gaming shifts to digital? Who knows.
