The 2007 DIY (Do It Yourself) Convention is being held Feb 9-11 at the Egyptianlinks Theater In Hollywood. The DIY Convention focuses on "creating, promotion, protecting and distributing independent film, music, books and digital media as related by people who have achieved success". The event features panels on podcasting, licensing music, blogging, MySpace/YouTube success, book publishing, digital entertainment and showcases, screenings and parties.

The 2007 DIY Convention features a Demo Derby with panelists producer, composer, and artist Scott G, The G-Man, Tess Taylor, President of the National Association of Record Industry Professionals, Ritch Esra, publisher at Music Business Registry, and entertainment attorney Tom Fox.
