Music videos initially were viewed as purely promotional. But they are increasingly seen as another entertainment product and sold at online stores like iTunes. The unauthorized videos range from MTV music videos recorded by a digital camcorder or taken from Tivo to video mixes that merge the music video with dancers
or lip-syncing actors.
