I Lost My MTV

Music cable channel MTV Networks is going through a rough period as it watches sites using music video like MySpace and YouTube zoom by it on the digital freeway. MTV has lost several executives and laid off about 250 people, mostly in New York, last month. MTV has continued the layoffs with another 250 people in London and other international offices. The company said it is centralizing overseas operations in London, Miami, and Buenos Aires to increase operating margins.
