iPlane: iTunes coming to your seat
Apple is talking to Panasoniclinks Avionics and other in-flight entertainment system manufacturers. iTunes would be used to download music and video from the airplane computer system to passenger iPods or laptop computers. Airlines have already requested iPod docks or USB ports be built into seatbacks. Such an offering would have to resolve copyright and licensing in international airspace.
