iPod Has Been iGood to Apple

Apple's quarterly numbers were excellent and better than expected. The company's success in portable music players is starting to spread to the computers that they connect to.
Apple continues to maintain strong sales growth in iPods, even with its market dominance. 8.7 million iPods were shipped with sales up 29 percent.
Company sales were up 32% from a year ago to $4.84 billion. Profits were up 27%, PC sales up 37%, and notebooks up 63%. The Mac share of US PC sales is 5.8 percent, up from from 4.3 percent a year ago.
