iTunes Keeps Rolling Along
Apple disclosed statistics about iTunes that shows how successful the software has become. iTunes is downloaded over one million times a day. There are more than 500 million active users.
Despite the half billion number, iTunes is still in a distant third place for consumer media software. It's installed on 27 percent of PC user computers,based on actual hard drive scans. That's compared to 38% installation penetration for realplayer and 65% for Windows Media Player.
