iTunes Subscriptions?!

iTunes Subscriptions?!



According to an "annonymous" source, we have heard that Apple may be gearing up a $130 a year subscription based service for iTunes. Supposedly using DRMed 256kbps AAC files, it will feature the current iTunes catalogue in a "rental" based format, available to use only on licenced devices. An interesting concept which we honestly can't see working alongside the traditional buy-to-own licence style selling.

More as we hear it as always...
