Last.fm bags first major funding
Music services developer Last.fm received undisclosed funding from Index Ventures. Last.fm had received angel funding last year. Last.fm has two free products, a music recommender and music streamer. For $3 per month users can avoid ads and tap into the music that their friends are listing

Last.fm counts 40 million tracks, over 1 million users, and 7,200 independent and major artists.
