That's a bit of a mouthfull... I couldn't think of a better way to put it. With all the UK government meetings with the music industry, a new plan has come up. It's a plan many people have wanted, yet few expected to ever happen. You will pay a bit extra for your broadband service per month, and you'll be allowed to access as much as you like on a legal P2P based download service. This can't be anything but a good idea and here at Digital Music Future we are very happy about it, perhaps the industry is indeed finally embracing p2p.

Any growth area in the music world has to be seen as a good thing and whether the money comes from wares or services where the artists get paid must better than the alternatives. The more alternative methods of monetization we see in the digital music world the more the momentum of growth with happen and we will see a very healthy music business emerge albeit in a different form than today.
