Meebo and music…?!

You might be confused, shouting at the screen "Why is there a meebo logo on Digital Music Future?!" thinking that all meebo do is provide a web IM service. That's what I thought too; until now.
Meebo is partnering with Universal to port their multi user chat onto big artists, like Kanye, Ludacris and the Killers' webpages, allowing users to communicate and talk about all the latest gossip and tracks.
It seems a pretty cool idea but we don't understand exactly why Meebo is involved, instead of Universal hiring someone to code a simple chatroom….
Odd eh?
