Ministory wrap up: Rock Band Expands, iTunes LPs become open

Filed in archive Best of on November 30, 2009

Quick roundup of two minor stories as of late.

Firstly, Rock Band has now apparently got a stunning 1000 strong song library; an amazing expansion for a game which harks back to the days of Guitar Hero's 50 or so tracks. It's expanding more and more every month, and it's really becoming a viable outlet for some bands to make some cash.

Secondly, the iTunes LP format we reported on previously, which allows music to be bundled with big images, interviews, all of the aditional media you used to sometimes get with albums, has now become open to all, rather than just privilaged artists. This should see many more of these packages appearing on the iTunes store soon, which can only be a good thing, right?
