FREEHAND SYSTEMS GRABS $2 MILLION FOR digital sheet music

Freehand Systems closed grabs $2 million in a third round of capital from Vision Capital Advisors. Freehand manufactures MusicPad Pro Plus, a digital tablet that stores digital sheet music and replaces traditional paper-based sheet music. Sheet music can entered into MusicPad via scanning or purchase from FreeHand.

SEATWAVE LANDS $8 MILLION FOR ONLINE TICKETS

London-based online ticketer Seatwave announced a Series B round of $8 million from investors Mangrove, Oliver Jung, and Atlas Venture. Similar to StubHub in the U.S., Seatwave is a secondary marketplace to buy and sell fan-supplied concert and sporting event tickets.
