More P2P Streaming: Neokast

Stefan Birrer, a Graduate student at Northwestern University, has launched Neokast, based on his P2P streaming research.
Neokast is focusing on live streams or streams from a file. Birer's research concentrated on P2P video scaleability and quality. Neokast technology enable low cost P2P streaming that theoretically could support million of users without needing a large number of seed servers.
Neokast will offer free software for consumers and consulting for businesses. Neokast was founded in 2006 and has one angel investor
