More SlotMusic details

If I'm honest with you, there isn't a great deal going on in the world of digital music currently, so I'm going to tell you a few more details about the rather interesting Sandisk SlotMusic that I covered a little while ago. Basically, it's selling music on memory cards, which can be put into phones and the like; this was already known, but recently it's come to light that there is another plan SanDisk are pushing; players.
Sandisk are producing cheap, customized digital audio players which just plainly read files off memory cards. It makes me wonder whether they are targetting a market that is not there…but the price, with players starting at just $20, could be a big atraction.
Will it work? Who knows!
