P2P File Sharing

Since music, movies, and software have gone all digital in the recent years p2p file sharing has become an ever increasing problem around the world. While there are sites who offer this service legally for a premium there are many sites such as ThePirateBay.org or ISOhunt.com that offer these services absolutely free and completely illegally. On a site such as these you can simply search for the artist, album, or song you're looking for and choose from a list of several torrents of that very thing. Many people are constantly uploading these files for you to download and enjoy.

There are many laws that stand against this sort of p2p file sharing, but many websites have found loopholes in the legal system and offer their services regardless. This act of illegal downloading is commonly referred to as "piracy." Were you to take part you could download thousands of files for free without ever getting into trouble. However, there have also been many instances where record labels and software companies have taken legal action against individuals for the distribution of their products. These cases don't always go anywhere, but piracy is illegal and can get you into trouble.
