Radio Video

With the music and radio world shrinking, radio stations first turned to online streaming, then podcasting, and now video. Having a "face for radio" is increasingly a thing of the past.
The trend isn't new. howard stern, for example, made the transition from radio to TV many years ago. But it definitely is picking up speed, especially on major radio networks that are carried across dozens or hundreds of individual stations.
The New York Times notes the trend in the article "Is Radio Still Radio if There's Video?" It's a silly question. Video will be increasing integrated into all communications and media. Radio video at this point is just another feature to retain the shrinking radio audience through personalities and big events. Local TV has nothing to worry about. At least for the next ten years.
