RIAA makes up for lost CD sales with P2P revenues
RIAA has created a new revenue channel to help make up for lower industry sales - P2P individual lawsuits. The Pirate Times calculates that almost $100 million have been paid by consumers who have settled close to 20,000 P2P lawsuits.

Needless to say, none of that goes to artists.
