Spotify: is it unfair?

There's been some debate in the past few days as to whether the compensation Spotify offers to artists and labels is actually fair after certain artists have begun to pull their content from the system. There is also now the problem that, if the labels begin to agree, they have a lot more pushing power as they are now investors in the company. This is a very very clever move on the labels behalf…but it's going to be an issue for Spotify in the future if advertizing ever drys up.
It'll be interesting to see how the company weathers the next few years…
