Talent Agents: Let the Feeding Frenzy Begin

Talent agents now want a piece of the billion dollar (YouTube) action. They are circling sizzling producers and artists. United Talent Agency has established a group dedicated to rising Internet stars. Its staff consists of three 26 year old agents who previously had been assistants. The group's strategy is not to take new talent to traditional media but to help them make more money on the Internet with creative deals with major web web sites.
This could also be a sign that viral video may be overheated. Los Angeles hasn't seen such action on the agency side since Creative Artists Agency started an Internet division during the tech boom.
