Why phones are the music player of the future

The Pew Internet & American Life Project surveyed Americans to see how wired they were. Half of adults are only occasional users, with 8% being avid users.
They found that some techies actually avoid gadgets and that 15% of the population still lives without a computer and a cell phone.
Survey results:
73% use cell phone
68% PC
55% video camera
43% digital camera
20% iPod or MP3 player
11% own a PDA or Blackberry
The key news for the digital music market is that despite all the publicity for Apple iPods, only 20% of people have any type of portable music player. The cell phone market in comparison is 3.5 times larger. Can we say 'iPhone'?
