yahoo music's latest promotion at the new Yahoo Lyricsmakers web site is a lyrics contest with promotional partner McDonald's and artist Ne-Yo. You write the lyrics, site visitors vote on it, and Ne-Yo will write the beats.

Site visitors first are asked to vote for one of four pre-selected themes - love, peace, dreams and party. After a theme is selected visitors get to vote on a different four lines of the lyrics every week.

The promotion extends a previous relationship among the three parties. McDonalds has a live summer tour in 10 cities with 12 artists, including Ne-Yo, that Yahoo is co-promoting.
